Amish communities are well known for their modest lifestyle, industrious farms, black buggies, fine woodworking skills and hearty cooking. Stoll's Lakeview Restaurant near Loogootee promised "Old Fashioned Amish Recipes".
Stoll's is little over an hour from Evansville as the crow flies (if the crow is flying up I-69 in a Porsche). We decided to give them a try.
Our regular photograhers couldn't make this drive. Many thanks to Bob Donnelly and Mark Roethemeier for the following pictures.

This picture and the next one were obviously taken before the food arrived. Everyone seems to be in good spirits. We can assume they enjoyed the drive to Loogootee and Stoll's. Photo © Mark Roethemeier
